I've been using a straight razor for around a year now, but I have a confession...

I've been cheating.

I use a straight razor with disposable blade.

Having fully repented of my ways, I purchased a (real) straight razor and am learning how to use it.

I look forward to learning from everyone here.

No cheating at all using a disposable blade, in my book
I started out with one myself, and still use it now and then.
For my head-shave it is the bee's knees!

Good luck with your new razor, I'm sure you will find that to give stellar shaves in no time with a background like yours.
They are a bit different, but much will be familiar to you

Welcome aboard. Good to have you here. Just make sure that new razor of yours is shave ready, if you bought it from a reputable seller you should be ok.
