Thanked: 0new member in pa
greetings to all the members out there.
thank you all for helping me rid my life of those overpriced pos cartridge razors.
after i turned 30 i realized i could only get 2 good shaves out of a 5$ fusion cartridge, after which it would start pulling and leaving sharp little hairs in uncomfortable places. i ended up shaving less and hating it.
i might have grown a beard, but my wife won't have me unless i am baby butt smooth.
so i had her buy me a set from srd for christmas.
my first shave was great, although it did take about an hour.
i am still working on my left hand technique and trying to keep my edge a keen as i can.
i had to buy a swaty after about a month, and that makes it shave just like new again.
some day i will get some new razors, but for now i am happy just to be able to shave everyday.
since i started using shaving soap, my face got a little dry. but i found a great after shave treatment which i recommend to anyone who will try it:
After i rinse my face i rub a small bit of raw shea butter into my beard, you dont need a lot. Then i rub some witch hazel into that which spreads it out and feels amazing. i spread it all over my face and even into my hair.
Thanks again to all of you senior members out there with thousands of posts, you guys are great.

Welcome to SRP Adam.
You have bought yourself some quality gear, and as you say, that is really all that is needed
From the sound of it you are doing real good with your shaves, and having fun to boot.
And that's what it is all about, for me at least!
Keep working that left hand technique, you'll be glad you stayed with it.
Thanks for the post-shave treatment tips, sounds awesome!
Any questions at all, don't hesitate to ask.
Good luck!Last edited by Birnando; 02-26-2012 at 10:18 PM. Reason: wrong name... sorry!
