Default Hello from West Sussex UK

Hello everybody it nice to find a site all about shaving & nothing else. I have just stared on the straight razor front @ the moment I am using Shavette I have a Feather Artist Club RG a upgrade from the Dovo one that I used before. The blades that I am now coming to the end of are the Feather ProGuard. Up to now I have not managed to cut myself. So I was wondering whether to keep the proguard or try the others in the range for the next steep in straight shaving as I want to go up to a proper Straight Razor at the end of the year. The ones in there list is as follows Professional, Professional Super, or the lights or the other choice that I have seen is KAI Excelia Blades Titain Mild What do you experts recommend. Thanks PS I do have Feather Blades in my DE razor also not managed to cut myself with that ether.

    Hi, welcome to SRP.

I tend to use the Professionals in my Artist Club.
When I started out, I bought a pack of each of the blades available, and to me, the best compromise between comfort and aggressiveness is the Professional version.

They are all basically the same blade, the protrusion of the blade from the holder is what separates them(in addition to the guards in the ProGuard)
In other words, the very edge is the same sharpness all around.

Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....
