Thanked: 0hello from anchorage the land of snow
I recently got my self into straight razors and shaveing with them in the quest to alleviate the standard boreing shave. In the continuous web search for info I keep finding myself here so I figured I better sign up.I enjoy all aspects of straight razors especially the challenge of makeing an old razor sharp again and from looking like nobody has so much as washed it down with some soap and water.I hope to have some good questions for the all knowing members of straight razor place and hopefully in time answer a few questions myself. Trying to make them sharper than a razor keith

Thanked: 485Welcome to SRP! The reason you kept finding yourself back here is that there's no better place for info and friendly advice on Straight Razor Shaving. Keeping your razors sharp is certainly a skill to be proud of, and gives one a sense of achievement and self sufficiency. Good luck with it!
CarlStranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Welcome to SRP!! I see it's supposed to be a balmy -6 deg there tonight and getting colder later in the week. We lived up there for 14 years and I miss the beauty of the place, but I don't miss the snow, cold and dark. Low here tonight, 63 deg.. Great thing here, no one has ever heard of bunny boots!!
Enjoy the forums, lots of great folks and all are ready to help! Good shaving, and again welcome!
Regards,
Howard

I wonder how Ice works for a hone and Polar Bear hide is for a strop? Just kidding! Welcome. The learning stops when you want it to.
