    I am not new to wet shaving. I have been shaving with straights for several years now. Just new to SRP. I hung out on Badger & Blade and knew nothing of this site till the other day. After reading the forums and posts, this seemed to be the place of more knowledge and good conversation on stragiht blades. I started shaving with empty cartridge DE's along side my grandfather (a true old barber) as a small boy. I now shave with some of the straight razors he shaved his customers with. Having a six year old son of my own he enjoys standing along side me with a shavette, no blade of course. I look forward to handing my collection down to him one day. I look forward to corresponding with fellow wet shavers and am glad to be here.

    I think many can relate to wanting to pass on the ritual of straight shaving and the blade itself to our (future) sons.

    You are quite right, this is the place for straight razor shavers

    Having straights with history, like you describe, sounds awesome, I guess it really adds to the whole experience.
    I have a kid at the age of ten, he does the same thing, the bladeless shavette cleans off the lather in no time on his little face

    Anyways, enjoy your stay here, I'm sure you'll fit right in!
