Default A Yooper new to straight razors

Thought I'd say hello and say that I've always wanted to shave with a straight, but had the misfortune of getting a Master USA razor as my first and I was like shaving with a butter knife so that put me off for awhile till I found SRP and learned a few things. Still new, but having fun learning.

Nope, we are sometimes referred to as trolls though since we live below the bridge.

I'm learning all these new words. Is a Central Michigan resident a Cooper?

I don't think so. A cooper makes barrels.

So what part of the UP are you from, I spent a few years as a kid not too far from Mackinac.
