Very nice! If the Gotta is honed correctly you have a superior razor.

Thanked: 1Thanks for the feedback nipper! Well the gentleman I purchased it from supposedly honed it for me but I feel like it wasn't done correctly. Would you know of anyone I might be able to send it to so it may be done correctly?.
I appreciate any help.
Thanks again.

Welcome to SRP!
well if you purchased it from a vendor here or a forum member you should first contact them. otherwise look in the classified for member services and select a honemeister. not sure where you are located so you may want to try and find one near you for faster/ easier shipping.
normally a well honed gotta is a great shaver.
have you read up on the blade angle and watched the beginner's videos? sometimes it is technique not the tool.Last edited by syslight; 03-29-2012 at 02:02 PM.
Be just and fear not.

Thanked: 1Thanks syslight for the response, I actually purchased it on eBay. I'm located in Putnam county in ny, I guess I'll check in member services to see if I can find someone close by.
Thanks again!

Thanked: 1Thanks for the welcme, I'll make sure to read up on that and watch whatever videos are available. It seems like this site might have a wealth of knowledge for a newbie like me.

Trust me, (from one noob to another) this place has everything you ever wanted to know and more. Get that thing honed and watch the videos. Check out Straight Razor Designs and Lynn's honing service there. Take it slow, and have fun!

phantom78,
You can send the razor to me and I can make it truly shave ready. I'm in the same state. If you want to send it to me, PM me.

Thanked: 1Thanks Skippy! I appreciate the offer but I found a service in members services to do it before I got your offer. Thanks again.
