    Default Newbie from O'Fallon, MO

    Hello everyone. I'm new to straights, and have not shaved with one yet. I've been using a DE for about 3 months now and really enjoying it. I just happened to find a Henry Hill Blue Steel that my wife has been hiding from me! My goal is to learn to hone and strop this razor to,use. I see on the forum that there are members who I can send it to to get it honed, but then I won't learn anything. Are there any members in my area that would be willing to teach me a little? I would certainly pay to get mine honed, but would like to learn how to maintain my razor myself.

    Cool! So where do you guys go locally for honing? I don't mind sending it off, but I would rather stay local if possible.
