Thread: Hello and thanks.

Hello all,
Connecticut resident here. I am 36 and have absolutely no experience with a straight razor. I started looking into getting a straight razor about a month ago and have been trolling this site since I found it. I ordered a Dovo Ebony Silver & stop set from Straight Razor Designs as that seemed to be the recommended site (because they get the blade truly shave ready) and a well liked manufacturer in my price range.
I wanted to say thank you for the information provided here. I actually found this site when looking for information regarding GB Buckingham & Sons and happened to find them in the list to avoid. Thanks for that! I did search on the site for reasons as to why too though, and found them!
Great information and extremely helpful people! I am amazed that everyone here looks at this the same way I do too. I wanted a morning routine that would break the monotony of a typical wake up and I am tired of spending so much on disposable and the fact that I am a little tired of disposable in general. The world already has too much to throw away for me to add more to it.
I look forward to frequenting this site and learning more as my I graduate to actually honing an edge or restoring a find or whatever the large amount of topics here cover.
This site is a wealth of information for just everything shaving related and I am so glad I found it! T
