Thanked: 1Greetings
Greeting Gents,
I stopped with my wife into the Art of Shaving store a few months ago. I had no idea that wet shaving still existed. I was have been interested for a long time, but thought that it was a lost art. I scheduled a barber shave and loved it. Then I found goefatboys videos and started to learn more about it. I purchase a safety razor, soap, brush, and bowl from shave nation a couple of months ago and started learning. What a treat. A few nicks here and there but a much better shave experience. I love taking the extra time in the morning for me. I then purchase a Dovo straight from Vintage Blades and used Lynn's guide to start straight shaving doing small sections of my face and progressing to the full face. I was a little nervouse about stropping and learning on such a nice blade so I ordered a 2nd inexpensive blade from Larry at Wipped dog. Today was my first 2 pass full face shave with my straight from Larry. It was good. A few nicks and I am definately still learning. My wife is laughing that I spend more time in the bathroom than she does. .
Anyway thanks for all the advice and information. This is a great site and awsome resource. I hope to get to know some of you better.
Best,
Andy

Sounds like you are off to a very good start.
Keep it up, and ask away if there's anything we can do to help in any way!
