Thanked: 3Friends Don't Let Friends Use Disposable Razors
My gradual evolution to straight razor shaving has been a very natural one for me. The nostalgia and skill involved piqued my curiousity, and a strong interest in surgery (I'm a 3rd year med student) sealed the deal. I look forward to picking your brains and digging through the site as I begin my straight razor journey. So glad I found this site!

I shaved with a ProFusion this morning and got a fine shave. I don't see the problem.

Thanked: 3Thanks Nuntits! Still about 8 more years before I can hang up my shingle though!
Ace, I'm sure I'll still occasionally use a disposable too... Not too much time with a family, med school and a famliy business. Just trying to infuse some humor with the title... Still looking forward to mastering the straight razor shave though!

Welcome to SRP. Straight razor shaving isn't for everybody. A person has to be willing to pay the dues before they can really experience the joy of it. It is well worth it though, for the few the proud, the straight razor shavers !

Thanked: 33Hey, welcome to SRP, lots of great guys here. From one noob to another, I started a couple months ago with DE's and made my way to Straights a little over a month ago, and I can not envision a time when I will ever use a disposable razor again. Double edge disposable blades sure, but cartridges are a "thing of the past" for me. Pun intended.
