Thread: Hey all!

Although I only very recently got into straight razor shaving (brother was good enough to get me one for my birthday), I've always had a a great interest in it, and a sense of awe towards those who still hold on to it. Although it sounds naive, I've always had a pang to return to the 'good old days' of my grandfather and great grandfather, and straight shaving is just a little way for me to get back there I think. Simple things are always the best, good books, good beers, and good friends and family - and now good razors!

So I'm really excited to learn all I can, and introduce a meditative ritual into my life, especially when everything in my life tends to be fairly chaotic! I'll be glad to take the time out to get a good shave even when everything else is a whirlwind around me. So thanks for having me all, and I'll see you on the boards!

Welcome to the forum toadq5 as Nuntits mentioned you will find many in SRP who believe that things got done better when doing it oldschool. There is much to learn here and with members who will be happy to help in questions that you have.
