Thread: New Guy Introduction

Hi, seems like the original " intro thread" has been locked so Im starting this one
My name is safaripete (Peter) and have been collecting straight and DE razors for many years. Last August I experienced a house fire. I lost everything including a nice collection of razors, scuttles, mugs and brushes. So now I'm replacing my razors, at much higher prices. Im impressed at all the great websites about shaving. I wish I new about them years ago. I'm happy to be a member of this fine community .

Im a retired NY City Detective, moved to central Oregon in 2002. I am a disabled Vietnam Veteran,having been shot down while piloting a Huey. I am the only survivor.. Spent 14 months in St Albans Naval Hospital in Queens, NY. I love to flyfish, shoot trap and drive fast, I really enjoy the feeling of sharp steel gently removing whiskers from my face.
