    Default Hello from PA

Hello All! Just wanted to say hello. I've been lurking for a while now and decided I better introduce myself. I've been shaving with a DE for about 6 months now, and dabbling with straights for about that long. It's only been in the last month or two that I have been choosing the straight over the DE. I love customs, especially big ones. Have a few antique store straights, but the jewel in my collection is a Phillip Dobson "lightning strike" carbon fiber handle Kamisori style. Just beautiful and a great shave. I enjoy the collective wisdom of this great community. Thanks so much!

Welcome from yet another PA wetshaver. I'm just a stone's throw outside of Philly.

Triazine -- isn't that used for vertigo? I tried meclizine for a while, but it made me so dopey, I decided to live with the vertigo.

Thanks for the welcome fellow PA wetshavers!

Morty -- I'm in New Oxford, not too far from Gettysburg. When I was in college, I was an organic chemist and triazenes were the compounds that I was synthesizing during my internship at the National Cancer Institute. They were to be the next best shot at a cancer drug, but I don't think much ever happened to them.

Not the best picture, but this Dobson is simply incredible. It was lonely, so Phillip is working on another straight and a matching brush for me.
