Thanked: 0Siamo un po lontani ma siamo Italiani ed è simpatico e piacevole potersi incontrare su un forum, in nome di una comune passione.
We are a little far from each other but, at the end, we are Italian and I think it's amusing to meet on a forum, to share a common passion.

Welcome!
My heart lives in Italy, even though I am in the states.
Hope you didnt have anyone you knew stuck in the quake. Thoughts and prayers go out to those that were.

Welcome Peppelan!
This is a wonderful site with great information and some very smart people always willing to help with any straight razor issues.
Hope you find it helpful, enjoy the experience.

Thanked: 485Welcome from the other side of the planet (is it? I need a globe, it's a long way away anyway). I'd LOVE to live in Italy, and have an old lady show me how to cook, in the country, with cobble-stone streets, and olive groves, and country roads, and workmen with handkerchief-hats singing on the way from work...

Thanked: 983Welcome Peppe, good to have another discoverer and explorer of the old ways here. I mean no offence when I say this, but I always find it amusing to hear people from Europe talking about the long distances within their own country. For us here in Australia, driving for a few hours to meet someone is really nothing. I have family that are a days drive from me west, and more that are two days drive from me north, and I still haven't left my own State in either case
.

you're right it's very far away. Just let me say I love your country as well, and I always have thought of it as the perfect place to live in...
