Thanked: 0Hi from Sydney, Australia
My name is Steve. I am new to the world of straight razor shaving. I am going to stick with this for as long as I can. I can't believe I didn't do this years ago. To think of the money and crappy shavers I've put up with for years! I ordered a Dovo forestal which will arrive tomorrow. I'm hoping to get Oz, on the forum, to hone it first for me. Anyways, I hope to glean more information as I learn to do this art.
cheers

When your razor arrives, post some pics of it for us, along with your other gear (if you have the equipment to do so). See you in the trenches, buddy!

I did indeed have Oz do the hone for me. He gave me some great advice too.
You're a hospitible bunch I see. I'll try to post some shot of the Forestal shortly.
