Thread: Another hello from the UK

I just thought I'd post this up to say hello.

After putting together a DE collection I am finally happy with I'm starting to explore straights and want to have a go at honing a couple of razors myself, so I thought I'd join up here as I've know that I've got a lot to learn in this area.

I've been using a couple of cheap Chinese straights to learn on and have found that they make quite nice head shavers (I still prefer a DE for my face though).

I've taken a punt on a vintage Boker from ebay for a reasonably cheap price. I plan to get it professionally honed and then use some hones and strops I've purchased from a BST section on another forum to see what results I can get on the Chinese straights by honing them myself.

I can feel the same bug that I had when I started out DE shaving starting to bite again, and am really looking forward to the start of what I hope will be a fruitful journey.
