Thanked: 1Good to be here
Been hanging around the site for a bit and finaly decided to sign up. Name is Josh, 28, and I'm from Kentucky. Shaving was always a chore until several moths ago when I went out to California for a friends wedding. Went down to the corner barbershop saturday morning just to see if they would do a straight shave and to my surprise two guys were getting shaved. Changed my whole perspective! Now shaving is relaxing and my time to dissapear for awhile.
Turned me a couple of handles today and also made a few stands to go with them. Pics to follow when i get them finished. Glad to have found me a knew hobby and get a whole new viewpoint on life just from one shave

Thanked: 983Good on ya mate. Hook in and have some fun with it. A very satisfying way to start the day. Better than sex! Well maybe not, but it's able to be enjoyed for over a minute anyway .

As promised, here is a few pictures. My 1st run and certainly figured out how to make it more easy next time.
How do you guys fight ingrown hairs? My biggest battle.

Thanked: 983Nice work mate. Love it. As for your question, I've been told that good technique will do the world of good. I'm still working on it when it comes to razors other than a cut-throat. I don't seem to suffer from ingrowns using this method, and I only suffer the occassional with a DE. I suffer badly with multi blade razors though.

Thanks for the kind words and the likes.
Unfortunately all I have right now is a multi blade. This weekend may result in a DE and hopefully maybe a straight as well. We shall see. The razor in the pic is a SE and I don't have any blades for it so I'm on the hunt for some good blades as well.
Thanks
Josh
