Thanked: 0Hola from Mexico
I just want to say this site is a great place to get started. I live near Guadalajara Mexico and need some help with purchasing my first straight razor. If anyone has any information on getting one down here I would appreciate it. I spoke to a barber who told me of a place in Guadalajara but I'm not sure of the quality (or shave ready) that I may encounter. I would purchase from the US if need be but duty can sometimes be a problem.
Thanks
Brian

Thanked: 88Wow, that's a tough one. I did a quick search online and didn't see anything about straight razors in Mexico, but I was searching in English. If your main concern is to avoid purchasing from outside Mexico, perhaps you could check out the local place and post the brand names of razors you find. If they have something decent, you could go back and buy it and send it out for honing. I'm pretty sure I've seen other Mexican users on this site, so you might even be able to avoid international shipping.

Thanked: 1195Welcome to SRP.
There are a few Mexican members here, but I haven't seen them active for awhile. You could try checking the member map and sending them a personal message. Other than that, I seem to remember from their posts that they bought razors and supplies from the US without incident, but don't quote me on that. In any event keep us posted and don't hesitate to ask questions.

Bienvenido a SRP!
I don't know off-hand where most online vendors ship internationally, but I would imagine that you wouldn't necessarily have issue shipping into Mexico. Best of luck!- Jeremy -
A year from now, you'll wish you had started today.
