Thread: Hello from Virginia!

Good afternoon,

I've only recently made the switch to straight razor shaving and already I can't imagine my life without it. After 10 years of shaving with cartridges I was sick of the expense and the discomfort, and I had to make a change. I invested in a used Silberstahl and after a few test runs, (with some laps on a barber's hone in between shaves) I finally got it to deliver a close and comfortable shave. This site has already been an invaluable resource to me already, and I realize that I have barely even scratched the surface. Thanks for making such a wealth of knowledge and experience available to us straight-razor noobs. I look forward to interacting with y'all and learning more about the art of straight-razor shaving for years to come.

Welcome, I recently moved back to Richmond but was living in Farmville for a few years.

You two are tempting me to be slightly more exact than just "Northern" VA.

Northern VA is quite a vague description these days.

I think one day Richmond will be included in NOVA as it grows and grows, ingesting all in it's way.
