Hello and Welcome, Christian.

A few thoughts worth pondering. If you spend any time on threads where guys are learning the shave and want to hone their own, the experienced guys tell them to first learn the shave with a pro quality edge. After that - to learn the stones. FWIW, most guys including myself ignored this counsel. I'm probably like most. I regret trying to learn both at once. It held back my shaving skills alot. I bled alot.

Another question is where the W&B came from. Antique store? Ebay?. If so, chances are high that it needs more than honing - likely a fair amount of restorative grinding to get the edge and the spine on roughly parallel courses. Only then can real honing be started. I would suggest running your first blade through a pro - so you know what its supposed to feel like when you shave. That way, you'll know how your honing is progressing.
