Thanked: 0jrob
I stumbled on straight razors when purcasing a knife online. I ended up with a cheapo blade that was as sharp as a butter knife, after reading some post from here I got it as sharp as it could get and started to shave. It lasted all of a few strokes on my face, but not to be whipped I got a torrey on e bay cleaned it up and honed the blade. I did a pretty good job for a newbie ( still got a ways to go) I have never enjoyed shaving until now. Can't wait to soak up the info ill find here.

Welcome to SRP!! I also have a Torrey razor. They're pretty nice. They seem to hold a nice edge for a while. This place is full of information for any questions that you may or will have!!
