Thanked: 0Greetings
Hi all!
I recently bought a couple of old J.A. Henckels, Solingen 17 1/2 razors in very good shape, an old "Dubl Duck, Man o War" two sides strop, a small stone 1x4", with one side black and the other cream, that looks natural, a small box, very old, of course, with two sticks of paste for razor strop, one black and the other tan, marked "Stangen Pasta" with a logo with a crown and the letters "KL", and a new "Goliath Broken extra-extra" stone. I guess if this stuff is any good for begining in the straight razor Art, and I´ll appreciate any help.
I'm proud to be a new member of this fantastic group.
Cheers!

Hi, and welcome to SRP.
Sounds like you got yourself some fine gear, depending on their condition.
The razor brands you mention are quality stuff.
The two sided hone could be a Coticule/BBW combination hone, also good stuff!
What would really help is a picture or two of the stuff, then the members here will surely be able to say more about it.
Regardless, you should have the razors honed, if at all possible, by someone who knows how.
Shaving with a properly honed and shave-ready razor is an absolute must to get a decent result!
Good luck with your ventureBjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....
