    Default Hello

    Hello, everyone!

I just inherited three vintage blades from my grandfathers estate. All of them are on the list of "good blades" from the wiki, and would like to get one of them "shave ready." I have been shaving with a dovo shavette that I got for Christmas a few years ago, and would like to graduate to an actual blade. Could some one point me in the right direction?

Seeing that you need all of them honed(sharpened) I would navigate to the classifieds and then to member services. PM either Lynn or Glenn(gssixgun) and they will professional hone your razor. You will also need a strop if you want to shave with a real straight. What budget are you looking at? Cause some strops will do the job, and some will do it better.

    Lol look at you parker!

Like the young man said look to classifieds and you will find member services. Look to the hone meisters there and PM them about your blades. As for strops, get yourself a nice Latigo for a first strop you can always upgrade or not later. Oh and practice stropping with a butter knife on your strop while watching videos on the correct way until you get used to the feeling of it. Or not. I didnt. Different strokes for different folks
