Default New to straight razor shaving!

    Whats up SRP ?

I have just picked up a straight razor about two weeks ago after shaving with a safety razor for quite some time.

I bought a Dovo wooden handle hollow ground blade...and so far i love it! I had to take it to a local shop to get honed and ready to shave with and have had some great shaves since with just a couple tiny nics here and there.

The stroping took me a few shaves to get used to, but once i figure out how to roll the blade back and forth it almost came naturally after that.

    ANyhow.
    Take care !

My only tough spot is the area below my jaw line doing a second pass. It is always a bit terrifying shaving in that one spot. Particularly on my right side with my right hand.

Dang!! Congrats on two fronts!! First and foremost for doing so well right off the bat! And second, for having a "local shop" that'll hone your blade! That's some sweet action right there!

    Welcome aboard!
