Thread: Hello there everyone!

Hello to you all! I figured that I might as well jump in here with a short introduction before I start bombarding everyone with questions.

I am a retired U.S. navy submariner who has recently moved back to the town where I grew up. I enjoy collecting and restoring vintage fountain pens, fishing, hunting, tobacco pipes, and gardening. My rite of passage after retiring was to plant a 30 tree orchard, which is a labor of love for me, and a second retirement plan. (or maybe I'll just eat a lot of pies...)

I am completely new to the world of straight razor shaving and collecting, but look forward to learning from you all. I know that I have already made some newbie mistakes, but will just chalk them up to wisdom builders. Right now I own a straight from Whipped Dog (my current shaver), a Wade and Butcher Special, and am expecting a Dovo in the mail.
