    Default Hello from northeastern Ky

My name is Chad, I just recently got into this after inheriting about 10 old straight razors from my grandfather. None of them were shave ready, or even sharp. A few of them I doubt even can be fixed. I'm currently having them restored by Gemstar Customs. I hope to get to know many of you, and I'm looking forward to sharing my shaving experiences with you and pick up some tips.

G'Day Chad and welcome to SRP.
You have obviously done your homework as Glen is one of the most respected restorers on this site.
When you get them back we'd love to see pictures of the heirlooms that you have (you lucky b##^ard).
There are those of us here (me included) that would love to have our ancestors razors.
Keep us posted on your progress.
Hang on and enjoy the ride...

Welcome to SRP Chad. We are glad to have you join us. Glen will let you know exactly what may or may not need to be done with your Grandfather's razors. Be sure to let the rest of us know how it goes.

I should have taken pics of the razors before I sent them. I will certainly post pics of the after work. I sent off a couple a red injun bokers and a dixie blue steel.
