Hello from Detroit
Been shaving with a DE for three years now and finally took the plunge into the world of straights. I'm one shave in and already hooked. Looking forward to a lifetime of even better shaves!

Bravo, BT. You're gonna love this. Keep it to the basics of learning the shave first - not getting distracted w/ restoration or honing (yet). Learn the shave w/ a str8 and then any razor you touch will give you a MUCH better shave. Keep posting questions - the guys are incredibly helpful.mapleleafalumnus likes this.

Welcome! Once you use a straight you'll never go back. I'm ridiculously obsessed. Get me started on talking about straights and I'll never stop....
The great thing is, you don't get bored with this, you just get better and better and there's a whole sub culture involved, and so many facets...
