Welcome R33F,
You will discover a wealth of information on wet shaving generally and especially straight razor shaving.
I suggest you ask LOTS of questions before jumping in and spending hard earned cash!
Have a good one mate.

Thanked: 3Wow thanks guys for all the welcomes & replies. Good to see fellow country folk in the forum as well. There is already a list of questions being generated, so will definitely be asking a few shortly. Thanks Havachat - once I get settled into the new DE I will fire you off a PM. A couple of quick ones before I start searching:
[edit] already found the answer to my first question about supplies.
Do you order barbacide online or buy a similar product for maintenance ?
I think the shavers from the UK & States have an awesome selection of product at their fingertips.

Thanked: 485Welcome. You're in luck, I'm pretty sure Mick is organising a Brisbane 'get together'. That'd be one cool way to start SR shaving! I wipe my razors with 'Bonito's' Eucalyptus oil. I agree about the availability of items O/S, hence one buys online a lot. Menz Biz (online) are pretty good, too. There's a thread somewhere in the 'Down Under' section about suppliers for we Australians.
