Thread: Hi Everyone!

Just wanted to stop in and say hi. I am new to Straight Razors, but not to safety razors.

I have been a lurker here for a while and just made the leap with one of the Whipped Dog Sight Unseen Deals. I currently use my grandfathers safety razor, a badger haired brush and a SWMBO’s homemade soap. I have wanted to try a straight razor, however some of them can be Very Cost prohibitive… Plus anything purchased would need to be honed to be shave ready. I will eventually try my hand at honing, however I wanted to get my hand on one first and start shaving to get use to the process. I was reading the forums and heard good things about Whipped Dog so I ordered it two days ago. And I am looking forward to slowly shaving with it.

Along those lines. I currently shave my head on a daily basis using a disposable because of the flexible head and probably will continue with this process for a long time to come. Just wanted others thoughts on shaving your own head with a straight razor.

My other hobbies include Cars and Homebrewing, which I have read there are a few Homebrewers here as well. I look forward to the continual learning that is ahead of me here!
