Thanked: 0Seth- Kansas City
Hello from the Kansas City! I was amazed when I found out there was an actual forum where people like us can get together and talk about our razor enthusiasms. I only have one DOVO silver steel, full hollow ground, ebony scales, with 24k gold etching, but I certainly want to expand my collection. I'd like to learn a bit more about stropping, and whether or not CO paste is a necessity. I'm looking forward to all the help, and then hopefully returning that favor someday.
Regards,
Seth

Thanked: 485It amazes my wife every single day. She asks 'How are your little friends?'. My brother talked about this to someone the other day. He said they were 'concerned'. It is a strange thing.
In regards to paste, the answer is 'no', yet so FEW things in life are really a necessity. I just bought my first really nice strop and I'm in love with it. I'm not really in to new razors, but that Dovo is nice :-)
Welcome. May you have many great shaves, and may you have many great razors. May your lather always be oomphy and may your soap always smell of roses, especially if it is rose scented soap. May your stropping be nimble and sure and may you hone like a Japanese sword maker. May your mirror never fog, your edge never roll and your blood never flow. May your aftershave burn exactly how much you want it to.
CarlStranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?
