Hey all, pretty much just finding this place even though i have been reading a bit around the forums as a creeper for a few days now. I really just started taking an interest in straight razor shaving and want to get started trying it! i'm from northern california and i really don't know what else to put on these things but damn great to meet you.

Thanked: 1587Welcome to SRP!
Well, there's plenty of information here about how to get into straight razors, and I would suggest looking at the Library (Wiki) section first. It has some excellent basic information there that will help you decide on equipment and so on. I particularly commend to you the section on "razors to avoid".
Also, don't forget about the chat. It is a great place to get immediate help and information in real time, from friendly and knowledgeable people.
Good Luck!

Welcome aboard!! I'm up North of you, good to have another NorCal guy in the mix. You've found the right place, plenty of knowledge to be found here, I'm not the one to ask, not enough experience; still in the learning stage.
Take care and have fun, Don
