Thanked: 3Hello!
Just wanted to say hello to everyone. Been shaving with an electric most of my life, but this past week my electric finally died for good, so I figured this would be the perfect time ditch the electric and move to a blade.
Will be reading on the forum for awhile while and looking forward to learning more....
Best wishes to all!

Re: Hello!
Welcome aboard! I think you'll find that you are on a very enjoyable journey and the best part is you've found the map to get you there. All the information you need about wet shaving can be found right here. I suggest reading a lot, especially the Wiki and the new members posts. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. The folks here will respond quickly and happily.
Enjoy the ride!Last night, I shot an elephant in my pajamas..........

A moment of silence for your electric . . . NOW you can get a real shave. Read, watch, and ask questions. The guys on this forum are a great wealth of information and always willing to help new guys, like you and I.
Best advise is go slow and buy smart.Any day on this side of the flowers is a good day!

Welcome aboard Joe. I'm sure you won't look back once you've had your first 'proper' shave with a straight razor!

Thanked: 443Excellent news! The lift-and-cut action of electrics is the recipe for ingrowns, which are impossible with straights. And I bet you never found an electric shave to be a relaxing thing. It's like gas-station coffee, and the full wet shave is like full-ceremony tea. Welcome to the better way. We're here to help you.
