    Hi,

I have been shaving with my safety razor for exactly one shave, the second will be in a few hours. I was a blind follower to the marketing of the cartridge razors for more than 15 years! No more! I gave myself the best shave of my life, and I expect I'll only get better.

I am planning to take the straight razor plunge within a year or so. For now, I am very pleased. I'm sure I'll be adding a few things.

    Here is my setup.

    Forgot to add...

I am an avid pool player, mostly 9 ball, some one pocket and carom.

    I also play bass guitar.

Is there a place to post pics of all of my hobbies?

Welcome! Best of luck in your journey down the road of wet shaving. "The Finer Things In Life" section might be a good place to share your hobbies.

Welcome to SRP. Unfortunately it took me the best part of 30 years to discover DE's, and for the past year, straights. Better late than never as they say.

I didn't know these were even available anymore! I have never used one before. I always used the cartridge based units. Huge improvement! and I'm not even that great with it yet!

    That's awesome!

I'm very new to this method, and I'm having some trouble I'll give it a few more tries before asking

Welcome! You'll get great help here. You might also try looking at Mantic59's YouTube videos; he's made several well-regarded ones about DE and wet shaving.

BTW:There's lots here who use both a DE or SE and straight.
