    Default Hello From Nottingham, England

    Hi guys. I have been DE shaving now since I was 20 years old, so for 5 years now. I love shaving this way. But have always dreamed of being able to shave with a straight. Didn’t want to jump in and waste my money though so I decided to try shaving with a shavette first, not the Dovo one I don’t like that at all. I have been on and off shaving with my shavettes now for around a year and just had my favourite one rescaled and polished. While it was away I thought to myself that I really should try straight shaving now, I have used a shavette for long enough. So have ordered myself a vintage straight which I will be getting restored aswell and will be getting a strop also. Cannot wait to get started straight shaving. And look forward to learning more and more from this great site.

    Yes, good luck and happy shaving. SRP is a great site. My mother's family is from Nottingham (actually west -- Ilkeston) and I have a very tender spot in my heart for the area. Best wishes.
