Thanked: 6Hello from Sunny Sweden
Hi
I'm an Irish guy living in Sweden. I've been here for what seems like forever. I got into this madness thanks to my good friend Willie (Wullie) who asked me to keep an eye out for some decent razors on a local trading site. I ended up buying loads for myself.... Seems I caught the bug bad...
I have a MK24 Heljestrand winging its way back from Neil Miller at the moment which I will be using as my daily shaver from now on. I also recently picked up a few decent Solingen blades - one is a fine example of a Timor and an English Thomas Turner that I plan to get shiny and sharp again.
I'm a lover of old stuff and tradition, and of artistry and design, so the attraction of straight razors was almost instantaneous.
I've been checking out the various boards here in recent weeks and I love it. Lots of great advice camaraderie and fun.

Hello and welcome! Nice to see another "Swede" here We can't live in the same hood though (I haven't seen the sun in a couple of days ), but if we do I'm more than happy to meet up at some point . You sent your razor to the best possible guy, Neil's a fantastic guy and by now a very good friend of mine - all thanks to this wonderful hobby of ours.

Fenian, I was going to suggest you hook up w/ Mikael, but I see he beat me to it. I definitely would recommend the hookup. You can learn more in a few hours face to face than in months of reading and practice. Besides that, Mikael is just a pleasure to talk to, and knows his blades.
