Is exact words was... the money he saved buying mach 3's as paid for his beginners kit all ready...

Thanked: 0Hey, another UK lad, nice to see. Don't go looking at theinvisableedge too long. I started looking at getting an entry level razor, then started looking at nicer ones. Ended up with an Iwasaki...
Also want to say, their leather/canvas strop was not very good. He did offer to send me another though. I declined as I will just buy elsewhere. Everything else he is first class.

Thanked: 286Right let me just say i recomended the ch12k for the price and the strop i do agree was not the best. As a newby i new he would nick cut and what ever else on his first strop. thats why i got him that strop from invisable edge , no disrespect to to steve at invisable edge but the strop is not the best but god for practise strop.. The ch12k is brill for price and does great job in maintaining razors edge . i recomended my mate to do 50 laps every 7 shaves .. Its kept his razor going for months... the strop is basic leather and once stropping is bang on i recomended he buy a more expensive strop , and thats just what he is going to do... the point is using a staright with a custom strop a set of good hones from 1k to 12k and a couple of nice razors will save you in the long run.... And its makes shaving a whole lot more fun and somthing to look forward too.
my other mate has one dovo cotton leather strop a entry level very good quality razor from steve and he has never looked back....

Thanked: 286i forgot to mention the superior shave he is doing some spot on be ginner strops very good quality, check them out very cheap also... If you get a shave ready edge and all you want to do is keep it sharp. you will just need ahone in the 10k 12k region. If your wanting revive a razors edge thats totaly dull or damaged you would need to go back to coarser stone such as 1k and then work your way to 4k then 8k then finisher such as 12k . 8k level is very shavable .. if you get a shave ready edge just grab a fine stone of your choice and there are lots of choices
