Thanked: 0New Genoa member
Hi all,
I'm Luca from Genoa (Italy).
I'm in love with razors since I was a child and I saw my grandfather shaving.
I recently made the big step from the DE to the Straigth Razor.
I have a Friodur 72 1/2, a Wade & Butcher Special and a Unknown Solingen on which I am training in sharpening by the help of a Belgian Coticule, and soon with a Japanese synthetic stone that I will purchase from JNS.
My preferred SR is the Friodur: I love it.
Ciao
Luca

Welcome Luca,
What japanese stone are you planning on buying? I've been using a Naniwa 12k superstone to maintain my razors for almost a year now and it was money very well spent IMHO.
Have fun, good luck and good night, I'm off to bed.

Thanked: 0Hi and many thanks Baxxer,
I'll buy the JNS Aoto Matsuyama from JNS
it is the stone that I will use before the Coticule. That's, for now, my only finishing stone.
It has a 3-5k grit
Ciao
