Hello from Afghanistan
Hi All,
Brand new to the forum but stumbled on to this last week. What a great resource. Wish I had found it a year ago!. Anyway, I've been using a straight razor for about a year and own a Dovo Col Conk edition and just found a 7 day set of red point vintage razors. I'll post pics in the new acquisitions when I get some.
Currently stuck in Afghanistan but using the forum to kill some time and meet new people. Look forward to hearing from you all.dustoff003 likes this.

welcome, hope we can help answer any questions you have, if you get near the local markets check for arabic straight razors, could be some interesting finds there
Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.

Welcome one SRP newbie to another. Afghanistan been there I was at Kandahar OEF V 2004-2005. I hope it is going well for you I am currently in a substantially less hostile place Kosovo. I am guessing that you are a Guardsman also? Stay as safe as you can.

First and formost Thank you. Secondly welcome. And Lastly when you get your orders to return to Mt Home, let me know if your on a World Airways flight out of the sand. I cant do anything for you but get you a warm handshake from the Captain and I would be happy to email family updated flight progress if I am on duty. Also we love razor porn. Lots of rock in Afghanistan...But don't get distracted looking for the next great hone. :P Glad to have you on board, and have some extra lobster on Sunday for me! Thanks for your service, stay away from the latrine cleaners, make friends with the contractors, and always smile at the DFAC workers. It'll make the time much more enjoyable!
