Newb from Bama
Once upon a time I shaved with a straight razor, it was obviously a lesser quality and since I was younger, in a rush all the time, and poor blade quality, my shaves fell to the good ole cartridge razor.
Now for yesterday, I received my order from straight razor designs. I ordered a Dovo Bergischer Lowe, and a kit. I was excited but soon that crashed when the razor I received wasn't the one ordered... Oh well good things come to those who wait.... I been 10 years without a straight shave I guess a few more days can't hurt. Maybe I can get them on the phone today and work something out.
I figured what better way to end a no shave November than to kick off December with my new razor. I fell asleep watching the DVD it came with but ill finish it today. Also when do the guys here think the wiki may be back online? This is a pretty awesome source for info and I was hoping to spend a few hrs in the wiki too.
well thanks for the forum fellas hope to be hangin around a while.

Welcome! The guys at SRD are the best, they will do you right with the razor, they did for me with a strop.
Hope the wiki comes up fast also, I sometimes peruse it from time to time.
Good luck, Double O

Welcome to SRP. Yeah Lynn and Don will make right on your order quickly. I had the same happen w/ a brush I ordered, and they just told me to keep the wrong one as an appology from them...That's why they keep my business regularly mind you, awesome guys. You're going to like that spike tip, just mind the point lol! What part of bama are you from?

I'm from north Alabama in a town called Tuscumbia.
I'm hoping the tip will let me fine tune some corners on my chin strap I usually wear. I only clean shave bout 2 times a year.

I doubt I'd get to keep the razor since it is a 110 dollar razor but sure would happy to mail it back to get the 270 dollar one I was drooling over!! Lol.. I still can't get any contact with them through email or through phone. Anyone know what thier business hours are? I can't find them posted on the site

Oh yeah, I know Tuscumbia...I'm in Calhoun (Northeast). Well, I would think they would be there til' about 3 or 4 today (pacific time I think, correct me if I'm wrong). I would e-mail them first, then call and leave a message that way they know you sent an email as well.
