Thread: Hi from Mississippi

Hi,
I am new to the world of straight razors so please be nice, I don't know the lingo yet.
Most of the reason I am here is because my husband has been talking about getting a straight razor for a little while now and the more he talked about it the better it sounded. He knows a bit more then I do about this and he ordered his first razor today.
I am very interested in this "new" technique. Like many women, I hate shaving. I just hate it. I wish there was a way to permanently remove hair, but there isn't so I guess I will have to settle for a better way to get rid of it.

I have never found a good way to get rid of underarm hair. I have shaved, waxed, and used that chemical cream (oh I learned my lesson). Nothing works well. I always end up with razor burn or bumps or ingrown hair. Ugh it's frustrating! I want to wear a tank top and my bathing suit with confidence. That is why I am here. I want to learn how to shave with a razor that works. I just have to find out what is the best for me to learn with.

There is the ladies forum that may have some useful info for you, however, I don't go there - secret womens business and all....
