Hello hello!
Hi all. My name is Byron. I've been doing a bunch of research and reading and have decide to try my hand at a straight razor. I just ordered and old shumate 35 and hopefully it will be here in a few days. It looks like it has never been honed so I believe I've got something decent to start with. I look forward to talking with y'all

Welcome to the forum Byron. If your Shumate has not been honed and you do not hone you may want to take a look at member services for one of our honing experts and get your razor off to him for a proper tune up. Be sure to ask any questions you may have. You will find a lot of guidance. Enjoy.
