Hello Gents,

Got my kit today, Dovo Special w/ faux tortoise shell. While waiting for the kit, I practice stropping with a pairing knife on a magazine. It basically got the movement and timing down. Must have worked because stropping the blade seemed fairly simple. Slow and rythmic until I really get used to it. Prepped the face with a hot towel, lathered up the brush and applied to my right cheek. I picked up the razor and without hesitation, got the 20 degrees and began with small, short strokes. No nicks. No bleeding. I stuck just to the right cheek as to not get too far ahead of myself. Can't wait for morning to finish the rest after a nice hot shower.

The rest went well this morning; whole shave with no real issues. I did notice a very slight burn feeling all day. I'm sure this is temporary as the skin get used to the new system. I really enjoyed the process. Thanks to this site and you tube for making this transition simple!
