    Default Greetings from Southampton!

    Hi there guys.

Coming all the way from Southampton, England!

I've been reading this forum for about a year now, have been using a straight razor for just over half that.

I *think* I'm using a Dovo best razor, but I received it as a gift and the person who bought it had no idea!

Certainly not the best at shaving, it seems that it alternates as to whether or not I carve holes in my face (although, to be fair to myself, I think that the stubble on my face/neck goes in directions that just aren't normal) and whether or not I come away feeling smooth AND pain free!

I guess I'll be asking lots of questions!

    Thanks

    Mike

Hello Mike, and welcome to SRP!

There really are no "normal" hair growth patterns, we see lots of differences. That's part of the reason you take some time to master the straight razor shave. Take a look in the video section for some hands on demonstrations, and look into the library where you will find all the starter info you could ask for. Then just jump into conversations, this place is full of friendly and knowledgeable people. Looking forward to your questions

Welcome to SRP. There is a lot of good information and people on this site to help. It takes quite a while to get good at straight razor shaving and a lot of patience.
