Started out as a reader of the forum as I reminisced the days when my dad would lather up and shave with a DE razor. Decided it is time to move away from safety razors and slowly work into the straight razors. So will start out slowly with some things I can pick up as I experiment and determine where my likes and dislikes are. Surely a good razor and a good brush will be the first on my list as I have found some choices reading this forum.

So just looking forward to the enjoyment that a straight razor will bring as I learn to master it.

Welcome Myron! I am sure you will eventually discover that the straight razor shave is a very rewarding experience.

I lived a short while in Sterling, VA in the 90's and attended Potomac Falls High School.

Welcome aboard! It's a fun skill to learn. Just watch out for all the addictions that go along with it. We're not exactly the full if self restraint type here.:thumbup:

From their stillness came their non-action...Doing-nothing was accompanied by the feeling of satisfaction, anxieties and troubles find no place

    Know the area very well.
Take my Harley out through that area as Algonkian Parkway is relatively light on traffic.

    Thanks!

    Getting the feeling already.
    Wanted a Tony Miller strop.
They were out of stock so bought something else.
Well yesterday the TM Strop became available.
Now will have two (Vintage and a new TM).

    Thanks again!

Another place I visit on my Harley.
Love the HD store right on 50 and like it better since they moved to a larger store front.
Never visited the old store front since it was converted to a pool hall (love to play as well).

Thanks for the offer and will keep an open mind.

It seems to be a nice place to visit so glad to be on board with all the others who enjoy simpler things in life.

    Thanks again!
