No it didn't haha still weeping a couple of hours later, got myself some of those septic stick to stop the blood but it didn't want to work!!

Septic sticks are cool, but have their limits. I'd imagine, from experience, all the stick did was kinda make the blood kinda pink. I was serious about the "Cut of the Day", check it out. It helps, it let's you know you're not alone. Take care, and again, welcome, you'll like it here, lots of great people!!

I've had more minor lip cuts heal pretty quickly. I wouldn't like the taste of alum. I've had great success with stopping bleeding with black pepper. I've never tried on the lip, but its should work.

Welcome to the group. I didnt even realise there was a Grimsby in Canada lol.
I have never cut my lip with a straight, but a few years ago I somehow managed a deep cut using a Gillete mach3. Blood was pissing out everywhere and i found using tobaco from a fag (unlit of course) coagulated the blood and stopped it bleeding.
