Howdy from South Dakota!
Good day folks, my name is Steve and I am new to your forum, have been making (forging and stock removal) knives for 3 yrs now, and enjoy it immensely, the straight razor thing is intriguing to me so here I am. Looking forward to learning the in's and out's of straight razor history,steel, design, honing, etc, etc...

Took 4 out of heat treat yesterday but figured I better learn a little more before finish grinding

Check out the Library/Wiki and the forum for maint., rep., and resto., Maintenance, Repair, and Restoration then look for The Workshop and then The Forge. Please post up some pictures we all love some pics...

I've been to them Black Hills. Nice country you got around you Redrock. South Dakota was one of the highlights of my visit to the US some years back now.
