Default Hello from South Coast England

Been using a straight razorette for 3 years, very used to manovering around my face now....
So when my granddad passed away recently and left me a straight razor (The Mab) i decided to join up and seek some serious advice as i plan on restoring back to its former glory (he used it to sharpen his pencils)

So hi every one, i must say so far the forums have been amazing and very helpful.
    Thanks

Welcome, the workshop forum has a lot of great info, and if you need any more detailed advice just ask.
Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.

    Hi, welcome.
If you care that razor, don't try to do it yourself. You could try to contact taylors1000, a very reliable ebay vendor that is located in UK. He is also a member of this forum.

If you google strop shop, they offer restorations, honing and all other kinds of good stuff and Neil Miller is a nice guy, he's the guy who runs it.

I'm about to send him 2 antique razors and a new one for a clean and hone.
