Thread: Hello from CA!

Hi Everyone

I'm in the SF Bay area, late 30's and switched to wet shaving this past spring after using an electric the past 6 years. I am new to this site and wanted to check in.

First time shaving with a DE this summer, a few months later learned how to shave w a straight. Now alternate back and forth.

Current collection is:

20 DE's ... preferring more aggressive models for first pass (Merkur Slant, Muhle r41) and more mild ones for subsequent passes

10 straights ... Like the bigger blades. Favorites are a Wacker 6/8 Qtr Hollow, Le Grelot 6/8 and some old Wade & Butchers

A lot of soap, aftershave, brushes, etc.

Result = shaving is now A LOT of fun!!!

Welcome SRP and wetshaving. You have good taste in straights and DE's. You will find plenty of like minded gentlemen here. Enjoy and do not hesitate to ask any questions that come to mind. Loads of good information in the library.
