Default Hello, New from Brooklyn, New York

Hey Folks, I have been interested in these Razors since I first saw my Grandfather use one. It's only been until now that I find myself wanting to get back in touch with a lot of things from the past. I have just purchased a George Wostenholm Pipe Razor and once I have it, I will look to have it restored for use. I am glad for a forum like this so that I can learn the proper ways to shave and care for my razor. Thanks in advance. By the way, everyone calls me Eb.

    Welome Eb.

You've joined at a very opportune time. There is a get together of wet shaving types on Sunday in Fort Lee, just over the Bridge. There you can see people honing razors, see collections and generally talking razors.

Look under Calendar at the top of the page.

Welcome Eberhardt! You have definitely found the right forum to learn about SR shaving. I am also new to SR shaving and have learned tons from reading the forums and from advice from all the Mentors here @ SRP.

If you can definitely make it to NJ it will be fun!

    Welcome!

Here is the razor. I was wondering if someone could give me an approximate date of manufacture and who they would recommend for restoration services as it is quite dull.
